Regional roundtables are one and two-day events that include presentations, walking tours of host downtowns, and networking with other downtown professionals and champions. Our goal is to host a Regional Roundtable per quarter in a different region across the state.

In-person events are designed to bring downtown professionals and champions together to learn from presenters and network. What fun we had on our trip to Georgetown! The folks at Fairfield Inn welcomed us warmly. We had a wonderful stay with a view of the greenbelt on the San Gabriel. And what a surprise to receive the amazing gift basket full of goodies!

So many restaurant choices! We enjoyed food on the square at Gold Burger Diner and Mikey V’s Tacos, then topped it off with a fabulous meal at Wildfire using the generous gift certificates. There were many other spots we didn’t get to, so they will be on the list for the next visit!

Shopping on the Square was easy and fun. I bought three new dresses at Bohemian Cowgirl and Red Bird Mercantile. We purchased gifts at Bella’s, Divine Treasures, and Lazer Beam. And Clark enjoyed time at Mesquite Creek Outfitters.

Georgetown was a great break from Austin's hustle and bustle. Bright minds in travel/tourism likely already market this experience as “just down the road” or a “quick, stress-free getaway” to attract us, big-city folks, to nearby small towns. It was truly a relaxing experience…no airports or the usual stress.

Many thanks to you and TXD for such a wonderful getaway! We will definitely return for another visit to Georgetown. Anice would be proud and amazed at the transformation of this downtown!
