Anice Read Grant Project Report

The following are the requirements for the distribution of funds:

Please note: Grant programs must be underway or completed within twelve months of grant announcement or an extension request must be submitted. If these conditions are not met, then the award will be forfeited.

Upon project completion, the grantee will submit a report via email to Texas Downtown that includes:

  1. A report on the project/program and the impact of the grant (minimum of a 100 word summary).
  2. Photos 3-6 high resolution images of the completed project or program
  3. One :30 to :60 second video of the completed project or program
  4. Copies of press coverage and/or promotional materials about the project/program
  5. Copies of paid invoices/receipts related to the project/program that equal the grant amount.

Note: All of the above must be supplied to Texas Downtown before grant reimbursement will be released.

The report will be forwarded to the Communities Foundation of Texas for final review and reimbursement.

Deadline for Project Completion is: October 31st unless otherwise designated.


If no contact is made with the current E.D. of Texas Downtown within the year scope of this grant, then you will forfeit the grant. If the project has had delays, and you contact the E.D. prior to the deadline, and make arrangements, a reasonable extension may be given.

Recipients of an Anice Read Grant must be a member, in good standing, of Texas Downtown.

They also agree to continue their membership for at least two full years, covering the year they applied for and the year they must complete their project and receive reimbursement.

Award

This is a reimbursement grant. Grants are awarded annually; however, any change will be announced on the Texas Downtown website where the application is available. Size per award may vary due to the number of awards given or economic factors affecting the fund.

Recipients not in good standing at the time of reporting will forfeit the award.

Photo and Media Use Permission Form

Texas Downtown (TXD) celebrates the people, places, businesses, events, projects, and stories that make downtowns across Texas unique. Photographs and other visual media shared with us help highlight local accomplishments, promote downtown revitalization, share best practices, and inspire communities across the state.

By checking this box you authorize Texas Downtown to use the photographs, images, videos, or other visual media identified or submitted with this form.

Permission to Use

By signing below, I confirm that:

-  I own the submitted photographs or media, or I have the authority and necessary permission to provide them to Texas Downtown for the uses described in this form.

- I grant Texas Downtown a nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, edit, crop, resize, format, caption, and adapt the submitted photographs or media for Texas Downtown’s nonprofit, educational, informational, promotional, advocacy, and organizational purposes.

Approved uses may include, but are not limited to:

  • Texas Downtown’s website and online member platforms

  • Social media accounts

  • Email communications and newsletters

  • Educational resources, toolkits, reports, and publications

  • Conference, workshop, webinar, and training materials

  • Presentations and promotional materials

  • Membership recruitment and engagement materials

  • Grant, award, program, and event promotions

  • Printed materials, signage, displays, and exhibits

  • Media outreach and other communications supporting Texas Downtown’s mission

- I understand that Texas Downtown may make reasonable edits necessary for layout, accessibility, clarity, branding, or formatting, provided the use does not intentionally misrepresent the image, its subject, or its original context.

-  I understand that Texas Downtown may retain approved photographs and media in its organizational photo library for future use consistent with this permission.

-  I understand that I will not receive payment, royalties, or other compensation for Texas Downtown’s authorized use of the submitted photographs or media.

Acknowledgment and Authorization

I certify that, to the best of my knowledge, I have the authority to grant the permissions described in this form and that Texas Downtown’s authorized use of the submitted photographs or media will not knowingly violate the rights of another person or organization.

I understand that this permission does not transfer ownership of the original photographs or media to Texas Downtown. The individual photographer or copyright owner retains ownership while granting Texas Downtown permission to use the materials as described above.
