Josie serves as the Downtown Manager for the City of San Marcos, where she champions the development of a vibrant, thriving downtown district. A passionate advocate for placemaking and community vitality, she draws inspiration from exploring other cities and studying best practices in urban development. A proud graduate of San Marcos High School, Josie recently earned her Master of Public Administration from Texas State University. She is honored to contribute to San Marcos’s recognition as a 2026 Semifinalist for the Great American Main Street Award and was named a 2025 San Marcos Shining Star Under 40 for her leadership and impact. Josie serves on the Leadership Council for the Texas Main Street Program, where she helps shape the future of downtowns across the state. Outside of work, she enjoys biking, kayaking the San Marcos River, and creating ceramic art.
