About Texas Downtown Association
In the late 1970s, only a handful of Texas communities had active downtown organizations. Spread throughout the state, their opportunities to learn from one another and share successes were rare. In 1985, the Texas Downtown Association was officially formed, connecting communities who were committed to downtown revitalization.
The Texas Downtown Association has over 400 members involved in more than $1 billion in downtown revitalization projects. With an array of services ranging from direct assistance to a certification program, educational opportunities to grants, TDA continues to expand member benefits while maintaining one of the most competitive membership fee structures in the state.
Vision and Mission
Every community in Texas will have an economically vibrant center that reflects its unique character.
The Texas Downtown Association provides resources to members through networking opportunities, marketing, education and advocacy to achieve community goals.
